A VIRTUAL EVENT RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM

This session will showcase a significant work of one of the greatest figures of the medieval Armenian Church, St. Nersess the Graceful (Nersēs Shnorhali, AD 1102–1173).

Jesse S. Arlen (Director of the Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center) and Matthew J. Sarkisian (Translator of Classical Armenian) will examine St Nersess’ songs of praise and commentaries on various feasts.

This event will be moderated by George Demacopoulos (Fr. John Meyendorff & Patterson Family Chair, Co-Director of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center, Fordham University).

Join to delve into the spiritual riches of Armenian Christianity during this year that marks the sixtieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council Decree on Ecumenism.
